Meet Michelle Matts
Michelle Matts is a professional flutist and teacher in the Richmond, Virginia area with many years of experience in teaching music and performing Classical, Traditional, and Irish Music. She loves to serve the Lord Jesus through music. She specializes in playing the flute, piccolo, alto flute, Baroque flute, recorder, Irish flute, penny whistle, and fife.
Michelle is a soloist, as well as a recording artist. She is the Piccolo player for the Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra, and a First Flutist in the Richmond Pops Band. Michelle also plays chamber music with small ensembles. She plays for weddings, receptions, church services, dinner parties, festivals, and other events. She performs throughout Virginia, other American states, and Europe.

She is a private flute instructor of all levels of music, and she also plays and teaches piano.
She was the second flutist of the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra from 1995-1997. She was a concerto competition winner and featured soloist with the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in 1996, performing Charles Griffes' "Poem for Flute and Orchestra".
